2024 Volunteer Opportunities

Summer Program Teen Leader Volunteer

Teen Leaders are volunteers who are interested in being a camp leader, enjoy being around young children, and listen to directions well. Teen Leaders will be responsible for a group of up to five children in which they will act as a camp counselor and guide through the camp activities. Teen Leaders are expected to be at Safety Town Monday – Friday for 3.25 hours each day. They will earn 16.25 hours of community service by the end of the week. Teens will receive daily training before campers arrive. On the last day, they will receive a signed certificate of completion with the amount of hours served. Teen Leaders should be entering 7th grade or above in the Fall of 2024.

Summer Camp Sessions:

Session 1: Monday, June 3rd – Friday, June 7th (9:00 – 11:30 AM)

Session 2: Monday, June 3rd – Friday, June 7th (12:30 – 3:00 PM)

Session 3: Monday, June 10th – Friday, June 14th (9:00 – 11:30 AM)

Session 4: Monday, June 10th – Friday, June 14th (12:30 – 3:00 PM)

Session 5: Monday, June 17th – Friday, June 21st (9:00 – 11:30 AM)

Session 6: Monday, June 17th – Friday, June 21st (12:30 – 3:00 PM)

Session 7: Monday, June 24th – Friday, June 28th (9:00 – 11:30 AM)

Session 8: Monday, June 24th – Friday, June 28th (12:30 – 3:00 PM)

Session 9: Monday, July 8th – Friday, July 12th (9:00 – 11:30 AM)

Session 10: Monday, July 8th – Friday, July 12th (12:30 – 3:00 PM)

Session 11: Monday, July 15th – Friday, July 19th (9:00 – 11:30 AM)

Session 12: Monday, July 22nd – Friday, July 26th (9:00 – 11:30 AM)

Teen volunteer registration is now open. The cost to volunteer is $10 per session. Please email info@napersafetytown.com for any additional questions.

Summer Program Team Captain

Team Captains are volunteers who are peer leaders to the Teen Leaders and help lead the children through the week-long camp. Teen Captains are expected to be at Safety Town Monday – Friday for 3.25 hours each day. They will earn 16.25 hours of community service by the end of the week. Teens will receive daily training before campers arrive. On the last day, they will receive a signed certificate of completion with the amount of hours served. We ask that Team Captains have volunteered for one summer and are entering Junior Year in the Fall of 2024.
